today's work

what did i do today? I set up some lights for shot 39 and tweaked a bit of ferhan's animation and adding a fall to the end with the addition of the camera. I set this up to render but it seemed to be taking forever, about 3 hours or so for 1 frame so it would be done for the degree show but not for hand in lol ah well. Dan said its because of the textures being too high in resolution which will be turned down in time with the priority at the moment being on the folders and putting what we have rendered into composition and editing A film together even with play blasts. I finished off my animation compilation, bit disappointed at not all of my shots being rendered but i have a few to show which is not all doom and gloom but i do have finished playblasts of every shot and the renders show what the film would look like once finished. I also created the image above for my front cover. Put a couple of render layers together and voila! I still need to put some more images in my folders but the majority is sorted as well as putting some final images on my blog

progress of lighitng shot 23

from bottom to top is the start to end process of how i lit shot 23. I had a primary light coming through the window with some subtle lights in the back corner and in front of the chair to show of some textures and catch some nice lights on the background objects

demonstrating the reference

screen image of how i compared the key poses of my animation to my reference

not sure if ive posted this already...

this is the video reference that i used for the run cycle in shot 33. Its only the first run cycle near the start of the clip that i used, obviously adding my own touch with timing but its to get the key poses

Animating SHOT 51

So this is how Shot 51 started out from when I started blocking out and initial animation.

After progression, I tried to add a little hesitation and thought to the hitman as if to show that he is thinking about his opposition and thinking "Ok....All these ninjas are a worthy opponant!" but in the end i took this out as I didnt think it did the shot justice and may look a bit odd.

This is the finished shot and ready for render and on the Adrive
